Did you miss Daughtry’s AMA performance?
For those of you who missed the American Music Awards, here is a video of Daughtry’s acoustic performance of “Home”:
I love that song! I think that might be my favorite song on the album… but tomorrow if you ask me that might change because that is an amazing CD.
I may as well just get this out in the open now; there is one Daughtry song that I don’t like. So much so that I have to skip it every time I listen to the CD; “All These Lives”.
Am I the only one? I just really don’t like that song. I don’t get it; I don’t want to get it. I was turned off immediately by the first line: “Doesn’t come down when she calls, it’s time for breakfast.” Come on…
I’m so sorry Daughtry. You know I love your work and I think you are amazing but when that song comes on it’s time to skip to the next song. Which by the way is “What About Now” and it is amazing so I listen to that one twice to make up for the other song.
OK moving on, I went to the yahoo home page today and the first thing that poped up was a picture of Jordin Sparks and a headline that said: ‘Idol’ album bombs. So, I immediately had to click on it, not that I’m surprised at all, a month after this horrible season ended I couldn’t even remember who won. But anyways, I was reading the article and it said that High School Musical 2 just beat out Daughtry for the #1 selling album so far in 2007. I thought that was an interesting tidbit of information. First of all, I did not even know Daughtry was #1 which is pretty amazing. Second of all, how in the world did High School Musical get so popular?? I think I must be the only person who has not seen these movies or heard these songs…but I’m strangely OK with that.
Daughtry, Chris Daughtry, American Music Awards, Jordin Sparks, American Idol, High School Musical

I don’t understand the High School Musical phenomenon either, but, then again I haven’t seen it. Don’t intend to. Maybe I’m just too old. If Chris held #1 for awhile, though, for that I’m pleased. Well-deserved. Don’t know so much about his successor.

Doug- I completely agree with you. And I’m impressed he was #1 for a while too. They deserve it more than HSM but… they’re kids, what do they know? LOL
