Daughtry wins 3 American Music Awards!!!
Daughtry walked away with 3 American Music Awards last night! I’m so proud and happy for them! They were the stars of the night!
And then their performance was the last one of the night, which is great because it was like the whole night was building up to their performance.
They did a great job too. It was nice to hear a different version of “Home”. It was just a great night for Daughtry!

Here’s the breakdown, they were the Winners of:
Favorite Breakthrough Artist
Favorite Artist (Adult Contemporary Music)
Favorite Album (Pop or Rock)
I’m especially excited that they won the Favorite Pop or Rock album award because they beat out Justin Timberlake! Don’t get me wrong, I love Justin as much as the next guy and I actually love his album but, that’s pretty amazing that Daughtry beat him because Justin is really really popular.
Looks like the battle for world domination has added a little twist. This whole world domination theory is just for my personal entertainment… feel free to ignore me.

There is also a little bit of disappointing news however, but nothing big. Chris was not featured in People’s Sexiest Man Alive 2007 issue as they led us to believe. Which is ridiculous because he is much sexier then a lot of the guys that they had in there. Sad sad, I know but on a brighter note (for me at least), Dane Cook was in it. And rightly so…

I was thrilled with the Daughtry wins! He was my AI favorite, loved the guy. Glad he didn’t win, though, gave him the freedom to go make his own awesome music. The kind of music I love, and apparently I’m not alone. Congrats to Chris and company! P.S. Good Lord, any one of the other guys on People’s sexiest list should have won over Matt Damon in my opinion. Not such a hottie, but that’s just me. To each his own.

Doug- Thanks for the comment! I’m glad Chris didn’t win too… now he doesn’t have to be a slave to American Idol forever.
And I agree about Matt Damon as well but, oh well.

It’s been over a year now…almost two. Somehow I don’t think that chain is going to be a trend…but as long as he likes it…whatever. And it’s about time! I’ll head over and check it out.
